Watermelon Cooler

Watermelon is high in fiber, vitamins A and C, and is a good source of potassium. This watermelon cooler is a refreshing drink for a hot summer day. If you don’t have watermelon on hand, feel free to substitute another melon like cantaloupe or honeydew.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups seeded watermelon cubes
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place 2 cups of the watermelon and the ice cubes in a blender and pulse until a chunky mixture forms or mash the watermelon and the ice cubes with a dowel by hand.
  2. Add the remaining 2 cups of watermelon, lime juice, and sugar. Blend or mash until frothy.
  3. Serve immediately.
