There’s nothing like homemade fresh salsa, especially in late summer when tomatoes are in season. Enjoy with warm, homemade corn tortillas or as a topping for black bean tostadas.
Serves 4 – 6
- 5 medium tomatoes, cut into ½-inch pieces
- 1-2 jalapeños, seeded and minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ medium red onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
- In a bowl, gently stir together all the ingredients.
