Cooking with Kids was honored to be part of the New Mexico contingent at the annual ASNNA Conference earlier this month in Washington D.C. ASNNA is an national association of SNAP-Ed funded organizations and agencies, and CWK’s Executive Director Lynn Walters, along with other New Mexico leaders, represented our state’s SNAP-Ed Implementing Agencies.
New Mexico Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham was presented with ASNNA’s first-ever “Friend of SNAP-Ed” Award, for her passionate support of food and nutrition education for low-income individuals and families. Pictured above with Congresswoman Grisham are CWK’s Lynn Walters, Barbara Berger from Las Cruces Public Schools, Mary Meyer from Kids Cook in Albuquerque, Donna Sauter from NMSU’s Ideas for Cooking & Nutrition, and Glenda Canaca, Theresa Cruz and Patty Keane from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
