CIneFesta Italia in Santa Fe, June 1 – 4
Contemporary ITALIA in the Heart of the Southwest! A celebration of Italian films, culture and food benefitting Cooking with Kids and Communities in Schools NM.
A collaboration between Italian government agencies, cultural organizations and businesses — including Lino Pertusini, Honorary Consul of Italy in New Mexico and chef/owner of Osteria d’Assisi Ristorante — CineFesta Italia 2016 brings contemporary Italian film to Santa Fe and complements the visual feast with an edible odyssey celebrating the foods and flavors of il Bel Paese.
CWK Super Chef and Osteria d’Assisi Executive Chef Cristian Pontiggia is the creator of the menus for the various dinners during the festival. It was Chef Cristian who convinced festival organizers to benefit local organizations that work with kids. “Now that I’m the father of a little boy myself,” the chef says, “I want to help kids as much as I can.”
